Today, I (Vicki) am going to tell you about my new, favorite way to move: Body Groove! I discovered Body Groove with Misty Tripoli a few months ago and absolutely love it! When I was very young, I dreamed of being a dancer; and my husband and I enjoyed ballroom dancing together quite a few years ago, so this seemed like a natural fit for me.
Since I’ve never quite found a sport I like participating in, I’ve been on the search for something other than walking and riding the recumbent bike to add some variety to my workouts. Body Groove has turned out to be both fun and fabulous! Not only are there a variety of dance workouts to choose from, Body Groove recently added a whole set of workouts for seniors called Young at Heart. This is my personal favorite; easy on my joints and adaptable to virtually any situation…and it totally makes me smile! The music is great and there’s no complicated choreography to learn or feel intimidated by; just a basic concept to work with to adapt to your comfort level.
